Last Friday, July 17th, we had the pleasure of attending one of the most inspiring events of the year for the automotive and engineering sectors in Andalusia. We were direct witnesses to the presentation of the MA26RTThe new 100% electric single-seater, entirely designed, developed and built by the talented members of the team MART Formula StudentThe event, organized by students from the University of Malaga (UMA), took place at the iconic Muelle Uno location in the port of Malaga. It was a day filled with innovation, music, and a passion for cutting-edge technology, where university talent took a decisive step towards the future of sustainable mobility.
An unforgettable evening of innovation and culture at Muelle Uno
The official launch event for the Málaga-based racing team brought together sponsors, collaborators, family members, motorsport enthusiasts, and key officials from the University of Málaga. During the official speeches, representatives from the academic institution highlighted the immense value of the students' constant effort, disciplined teamwork, and high level of technical expertise.
The evening was perfectly enlivened by various live music performances that kept the attendees' enthusiasm high in an incomparable seaside setting. The highlight of the night came with the eagerly awaited unveiling of the MA26RTAmid applause and great anticipation, the carefully crafted aerodynamic lines, optimized chassis, and advanced electric propulsion system of the new single-seater were revealed for the first time, consolidating months of intensive work in the university's workshops.
High-performance engineering from Malaga ready to compete in Europe
The development of MA26RT It's not just the result of an academic project, but a real-world demonstration of applied engineering at the highest level. The team has dedicated countless hours to critical areas such as telemetry, structural analysis, active safety, and efficient battery and energy flow management. Following its successful launch at Muelle Uno, the MART Formula Student team embarks on an exciting international tour to test its performance against the world's best universities at two of the most prestigious circuits:

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Spain): From August 1st to 7th, the team will attend the Formula Student national event, where they will face demanding static and dynamic tests to put the reliability of the single-seater and the skill of its drivers on the asphalt to the test.

Bugatti Rimac Test Track (Croatia): From August 18 to 23, the team will travel to Croatia to test themselves on one of the continent's most renowned high-tech test tracks, a demanding scenario that will push the electric performance and precision of the vehicle to the limit.
